Gender equality is achieved when all genders enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of our society. It is important for us to emphasize the concept of gender, it needs to be understood clearly because every individual should be respected, valued, and treated fairly in every aspect. Implementing Gender Equality of Gender fair society will be required the equal representation and the participation of females and males in the category of decision-making, economy, job opportunities, and many more.

I emphasize to my poster not just male and female equality but also the LGBT community. Even the people are saying that our society promotes gender fairness, we can say that it’s not 100%, why? Because some people are still seeing gays or lesbians differently, they still give boundaries or a gender gap. So for me, gender equality or fairness continues to be a prevalent issue in society today. Although much has changed since the 20th century and we are closer than ever to achieving gender equality in all genders, there are underlying issues and societal norms that prevent this from being accomplished. That’s why I inserted what Emma Watsons said: “It’s time that we all see gender as a spectrum instead of two sets of opposing ideals.” To achieve that gender-fair society, we must start in ourselves. We must accept that when we talk about gender nowadays is not just male and female, we must accept changes that we have in our LGBT community. Secondly, we must treat and respect one another, we need to learn to appreciate our differences. We must also remember that Gender equality is seeing all genders as being of equal status and value. It is judging a person based on their merit, and not viewing them as inferior or superior purely based on their gender. Next, is, people are really active in every media platform especially social media sites so I suddenly thought that instead of spreading hate and fake news, why do we use social media to promote gender fairness and equality? Enlightening people what are the different sexual orientations and gender expressions. Media as a game-changer, all forms of media must promote positive gender role models and equitable gender norms through movies, shows, videos, pictures, infographics, and articles. They can communicate to the masses and have an impact due to the depth of messaging and the reach.

Achieving gender fairness is an easy thing to do if we are all open-minded and united. We can promote and support each other if we are all together. We can see clearly what gender fairness and equality are if all the people are enlightened about this issue. Just like what I’ve read before that small changes eventually add up to huge results so the changes will always start on ourselves.
